National Subscriber Growth

  • Own subscriber growth targets across Axios’s national newsletter portfolio

Paid Media & Channel Diversification

Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. What this role actually is:

You’re the head of SEO at a high-growth agency working with some of the most ambitious D2C brands in e-commerce. Your job is to make the department perform, scale, and stay ahead.

That means leading a talented team of SEO managers, driving retention and results across a diverse client portfolio, and being the person in the room who knows both the technical fundamentals and where the industry is going next.

You’ll also be a builder. New processes, new capabilities, new revenue streams. If something isn’t working, you fix it. If there’s an opportunity no one has spotted yet, you find it.

What you’ll own:

The team. Hire great people. Coach them well. Build a culture where high standards and psychological safety coexist. Weekly 1:1s are coaching sessions, not check-ins.

The clients. Senior voice on strategy calls, QBRs, and escalations. You know which accounts are at risk before they churn, and you have a plan ready before anyone asks.

The work. Full-funnel SEO strategies built on data: technical audits, content roadmaps, backlinking, digital PR, and cross-platform approaches spanning Google, Bing, Amazon, and beyond.

The business. Department P&L, capacity planning, tooling decisions, sales pitches. You’re not just running a service line. You’re running a business unit.

Who we’re looking for:

You have 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including 2+ years managing people, with agency experience that’s non-negotiable. You’ve managed managers. You’ve owned a P&L. You’ve recovered at-risk campaigns and helped close new business.

But beyond the resume, you’re the kind of leader who gets energy from building. You’re curious about AI search, not intimidated by it. You know how to win over a C-suite client and how to give a junior employee feedback they’ll actually use. You hold a high bar and people still want to work for you.

Required:

  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, 2+ years in people management
  • Agency experience (required, not preferred)

Virta is looking for a Contract Growth Marketing Content Creator to provide parental leave coverage beginning in August. This contractor will help maintain continuity across high-priority Member Growth programs, with a focus on Open Enrollment lifecycle execution, webinar operations, and day-to-day campaign support across email, SMS, direct mail, and related channels.

Summary:

We are seeking a Social Media Content Producer to join our Social Media team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing compelling, trend-forward content that builds brand awareness, engages our audience, and supports our mission to create a lifelong love of learning. The Role

We are looking for a creative, big-picture Creative Strategist to join our Brand Partnerships team in São Paulo ! The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $140,000 - $160,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. You Will Be

We are looking for a Director of Influencer Marketing to build and scale a world-class influencer engine that drives both organic brand growth and direct response performance marketing. Influencer marketing is becoming one of the most important growth levers for PetLab Co. As the ecosystem evolves, particularly with the rapid rise of Meta Partnership Ads, TikTok Spark Ads, and creator-driven performance creative, we see a massive opportunity to build an influencer program that not only drives awareness, but also powers our paid acquisition strategy at scale.

This role is responsible for building and leading a high-performance influencer program spanning macro, mid-tier, and micro creators, producing content that performs both organically and as high-converting paid social ads. The Director of Influencer Marketing will own the full influencer lifecycle — from creator sourcing and relationship management through to creative strategy, campaign execution, performance analysis, and scaling the program through systems, automation, and team building.

You will work extremely closely with the paid media and creative teams to ensure influencer content becomes a core driver of our performance marketing engine. This role requires a highly strategic but deeply hands-on operator who thrives in fast-moving environments and is excited about building and scaling programs quickly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and scaling PetLab Co.’s global influencer marketing strategy
  • Building a high-volume influencer engine capable of working with 100–500+ creators per month
  • Identifying and recruiting creators across macro, mid-tier and micro influencer segments
  • Developing creator avatars and sourcing strategies aligned with our customer base
  • Building strong long-term relationships with creators
  • Leading the end-to-end influencer workflow, including sourcing, outreach, negotiation, briefing, and campaign execution
  • Developing high-performing creative briefs that generate content optimized for both organic engagement and paid ad performance
  • Collaborating closely with the paid media team to integrate influencer content into Meta, TikTok, and YouTube partnership ad strategies
  • Overseeing creator whitelisting / partnership ads, and dark-post ad usage
  • Ensuring influencer content meets brand, compliance, and quality standards
  • Establishing scalable systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
  • Leveraging AI tools and automation to improve influencer sourcing, outreach, briefing, and campaign management
  • Hiring and developing an in-house influencer team capable of scaling the program globally
  • Continuously testing new influencer formats, content styles, and campaign structures to improve performance

We’re looking for someone who has successfully built and scaled influencer programs in high-growth consumer brands and understands how influencer content can drive both brand growth and performance marketing results.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a track record of scaling influencer marketing into a significant revenue driver
  • Understand how to bridge organic creator content with paid advertising
  • Be comfortable managing large volumes of creators simultaneously
  • Have experience working within DTC, ecommerce, or subscription businesses. Experience in CPG categories such as supplements, nutrition, wellness, and pet products is highly advantageous.
  • Be highly organised and systems-driven, capable of bringing structure to a complex channel

In the world of performance marketing (especially for brands like PetLabCo.), a Creative Strategist is the bridge between the Media Buying team (the numbers) and the Creative team (the visuals).

Think of them as a data-driven storyteller. Their job is to ensure that every pixel and every word in an ad is designed to convert, based on actual performance data rather than gut feeling.

This role sits at the intersection of creative thinking, data analysis, and growth marketing. You’ll partner closely with our Paid Media, Video Producers, Organic Social, and Influencer teams to develop high-performing ad creatives that scale customer acquisition and revenue.

Who Will You Report Into?

Hi, I’m Jesper Mansson, Director of Creative Strategy, and we’re seeking a senior-level creative thinker who is obsessed with direct response, passionate about performance, and knows how to lead content strategy that scales.

You’ll be a core strategic partner to our paid, organic, and influencer teams, with a direct impact on how we acquire and retain customers.

What You’ll be Responsible For:

1. Data Analysis & Performance Auditing – You’ll spend a significant amount of time inside ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) Identifying what’s working and why. This will include:

  • Analyzing performance metrics such as Hook Rate (3-second views / impressions), Hold Rate (average watch time), CTR, CPA, and ROAS
  • Identifying winning creative patterns — for example whether a UGC “vlogger” style outperforms highly produced brand content
  • Conducting creative audits to identify which customer pain points resonate most with audiences (e.g., “stinky breath” vs. “expensive vet bills”)
  • Translating performance data into clear creative insights and opportunities
  • The goal: turn data into creative direction.

2. Creative Ideation & Scriptwriting - Once the data reveals opportunities, You will design the next creative tests. This will include:

  • Concept development creating the “big idea” for campaigns and ad series
  • Direct-response scriptwriting using proven frameworks such as AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action)
  • Writing high-impact hooks, body copy, and calls-to-action designed to drive conversions
  • Storyboarding content to ensure something visually engaging happens every 2–3 seconds to maintain retention
  • Developing creative angles aligned with DTC customer journeys and content funnels

You will be responsible for generating large volumes of structured creative tests designed to scale winning concepts.

3. Production Management & Creative Briefing- You willact as the director and translator between strategy and production. This will include:

  • Briefing UGC creators and influencers, including hooks to film, key talking points, and specific B-roll shots Providing detailed production briefs that editors and creators can execute quickly Reviewing and providing feedback on drafts from editors and creators
  • Ensuring text overlays, pacing, and visual storytelling align with performance best practices
  • Maintaining a library of high-performing assets and reusable footage
  • Your goal is to turn strategy into scalable content production.

4. Testing Strategy & Iteration – You will design and manage the creative testing roadmap for our paid channels. This will include:

  • Designing structured A/B tests that isolate one variable at a time (e.g., Hook A vs Hook B)
  • Iterating on winning ads by refining hooks, pacing, messaging, or visuals
  • Identifying drop-off points in videos and optimizing content accordingly
  • Conducting competitor and market research to stay on top of emerging creative trends
  • Ensuring PetLab’s ads remain native to each platform’s

The goal: continuously improve creative performance through structured experimentation.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:

  • 50% Creative ideation and content strategy development
  • 25% Campaign briefing, scripting, and production QA
  • 25% Performance analysis and data-driven iteration

We’re looking for someone who combines creative instincts with analytical rigor.

You likely have:

  • 3+ years of experience in creative strategy or performance creative roles

  • Experience working in high-growth, paid social-led DTC brands

  • Deep expertise in Meta and TikTok advertising ecosystems

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret performance data to inform creative decisions

  • A portfolio of direct-response ad concepts, scripts, or campaigns that delivered measurable results

  • A proven track record of driving revenue growth through paid creative

  • Experience briefing or directing creators, influencers, or UGC production

  • Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, CTR, Hook Rate, etc.)
